Skyscraper! Exhibition
The biggest (and tallest) exhibition ever made about tall buildings.
Liberty Science Center
Jersey City, NJ - 2003 to 2007

Project Manager, Exhibit Developer, Videographer and Photographer of the Skyscraper exhibition during its four years of production. A 13,000 square feet gallery containing more than 40 interactive exhibits created with a budget of 5 million dollars and a team of 7 professionals and 18 vendors, and 28 expert advisors.

The Models
Visitors are welcomed by a city of skyscraper models where 14 of the most important buildings are represented.

Photographed most of the models, including the Empire State, Chrysler Building, Conde Nast, John Hanckock, Sears Tower and 1 Bryant Park.

     
 

Skyscraper Lineup
At this multimedia exhibit, visitors can compare the models against up to 44 thousand buildings by projecting them at the same scale.

The exhibition is comprised
of 46 interactive exhibits, including this lab station (left) in which visitors can learn by experimenting.

This mechanical and multimedia interactive allows visitors to test skyscraper structures against real earthquake data.

The Wind Tunnel
A sophisticated wind tunnel allows visitors to test skyscrapers against wind.

This beautiful tank shows the effect that certain building materials have on the atmosphere in what is known as Heat Island Effect.
     
 
 

The Curtain Wall Test This full body mechanical and multimedia exhibit is the only existing exhibit of its kind. It allows visitors to experience hurricane wind and rain up to 100 MPH. A guided experiment allows visitors
to test the strengths and efficiency of curtain wall designs.

Multimedia controls and video documentaries explain the different kinds of tests performed on curtain walls.

     

 

The Schedule
An interactive schedule wall, allows visitors to explore every phase of the New York Times Tower construction, a building designed by Renzo Piano.

I produced and directed
the three-year-long documentation of the New York Times construction, though a collection of eight thousand photographs and 40 hours of video interviews.

A real crane simulator allows visitors to test their habilities.
     
  Energy Comparison
This multimedia exhibit invites visitors to learn about the energy used by different building types and the effects that this energy consumption has over the environment.
     
On top of the World at the Skyscraper Exhibition  

On Top of the World
At this viewer visitors can see panoramic cubic images from the top of skyscrapers at some of the most beautiful cities of the world.


 

     
   

Visions of the Future
At this exhibit, famous architects explain how skyscrapers will be in the future. Internationally recogniced architects such as Ken Yeang, Daniel Libeskind, Adrian Smith, Helene de Garay and Patrick Schumacher participated in the project.
