Caribbean Gods
I followed this group while they performed a ceremony dedicated to their deities. All the community assist to this offering, which happens at the shore, near the ocean. At the end of the ceremony, which involves passionate dancing, flowers are thrown into the ocean. The most interesting aspect of this ritual, was the place where it happened.
Canaima under the Storm
This is home for me. I’ve been in Canaima a couple of times and I always feel the need of going back. This is the heart of Venezuela, the deep jungle close to the Amazon, where the tallest waterfall in the world takes the water directly from the clouds to feed our biggest and richest rivers. This time, the rainy season was in its zenith.
